To install Macromedia Flash™ Player for Windows 3.1:

Troubleshooting

  • If You are using Netscape Navigator be sure that you have installed the plug-in into the proper Netscape Navigator "Plugins" Directory. Look in the Netscape folder on your hard drive and be sure that the "NPSWF16.DLL" file is in the same directory as your other plug-ins.

  • If You are using Microsoft Internet Explorer be sure that you have installed the plug-in into the proper Internet Explorer "Plugins" Directory. Look in the Internet Explorer folder on your hard drive and be sure that the "NPSWF16.DLL" file is in the same directory as your other plug-ins.

  • If You are using Opera browser be sure that you have installed the plug-in into the proper Opera "Plugins" Directory. Look in the Opera folder on your hard drive and be sure that the "NPSWF16.DLL" file is in the same directory as your other plug-ins.

  • Video Drivers

  • If you have trouble running Macromedia Flash player with Windows 3.1, be sure you have the latest version of the video driver for your video card. If you have difficulties, you can try using Macromedia Flash player with the VGA driver which is included with Windows 3.1.
